Is this a drupal bug?

I forget my password. I use the "forgot password" feature to have an password changing link sent to me by drupal (or the gatorlug site). The link sent takes me to a page that resembles the "edit page" under the "my account" page. I enter a new password (wO0t) Click the submit button and blammo, I have a new password (wO0t), but my lovely picture is gone. So I have to upload it again. This has happened twice.
