Because it's naive to ignore MicroSuck. It's easy to be cynical (or "realistic", as the cynics will tell you ;)) and trust MicroSuck to someone ruin ODF, but I think in this instance, there are too many people (and governments!) involved for MicroSuck to "pull a fast one".

Sure they won't play nice. "Embrace and Extend" is a given. But at least they are playing.
