Pairing Logitech HID on Linux
Submitted by jim on July 6, 2012 - 3:34pm
Recently, I bought an open-box wireless keyboard for my Google TV. Apparently, the nano receivers and keyboards had been dumped onto a large table, stirred around and placed back into the packaging. The receiver and keyboard I received weren't "paired" and refused to communicate.
Logitech's solution was to download and run a program on a Windows box to correct the problem. I had Android (on the TV), I had Linux (on various other boxes), but I didn't have no steenkin' Windows.
Tucked away in an obscure Logitech forum, I found a link to a userland utility by Ben Tissoires. I rewrote it a little, and I submit it herewith for your consideration.
