6:20 - 7:20 Hacking Wireless Sheep for Fun and Profit | John Sawyer
The trend is clear. Malicious hackers and malware writers have moved from network-based attacks against vulnerable systems to client-side attacks targeting vulnerable desktop applications. John will describe and demonstrate a wireless attack using open source tools that will allow an attacker (or penetration tester) to hijack web sessions like Facebook and GMail, steal passwords by impersonating the Internet, and inject malicious content in active web sessions in order to compromise client-side applications.
John Sawyer is the senior IT security engineer for the Office of Information Security and Compliance at the University of Florida. He currently holds several different security and forensic certifications, and is a member of 1@stplace, two-time winners of DEFCON Capture the Flag.
7:20 - 8:00 Tech Talk - all you can eat!
