Eclipse - an open development platform | http://www.eclipse.org
Eclipse is an open source community whose projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across the lifecycle.
Subversion is content version control system. It allows a group of programmers to work as a team on software projects and it helps keep track of all versions of a projects code base as the project matures.
See http://subversion.tigris.org/ for more information.
Trac is an enhanced wiki and issue tracking system for software development projects. Trac uses a minimalistic approach to web-based software project management. Trac should impose as little as possible on a team's established development process and policies.
It provides an interface to Subversion, an integrated Wiki and convenient report facilities.
See http://trac.edgewall.org/ for more information.
Barry Simons is a graduate student in Decision and Information Sciences at the University of Florida, an advocate for open software solutions, and a software developer for the Bureau of Economic and Business Research.
